To ensure that all pupils enjoy food safely, we implement thorough allergen management policies within our sourcing of ingredients and within the kitchens. We also utilise systems like our School Food United pre-ordering system to document dietary needs.
It is important that we reflect our local communities through our menus and lunchtime events. To do this, we use local suppliers wherever possible and allow flexibility within our menus so that they can be tailored to the school’s culture.
We provide free school meals and breakfasts across our schools. We use technology such as School Food United to help streamline the process of pupils entitled to free school meals and to reduce the stigma associated with it.
By using local suppliers where possible and circulating seasonal menus, we can cut down on food miles. We also instil good practices regarding food waste initiatives and promote healthy eating within our menus and events.
